Asteris for WordPress — Licensing
Asteris for WordPress is GPL-2.0+ software. All tiers use the same open-source licence — the differences between tiers are commercial (site limits + support SLA), not legal.

Founder cohort: Founder identity is layered on top of a Starter, Pro, or Agency tier — not a separate SKU. Site limits follow the tier you subscribed at.
Staging: A staging subdomain of the same production site doesn’t count as a separate site.
Local development: Local dev environments don’t count as sites.
Transferring a licence
Email [email protected] with your old domain and new domain. No fee. Processed within 1 business day.
Transfers must remain within the same buyer’s ownership. Selling, gifting, or transferring a paid licence to a different person or business entity is a licence violation.
What happens when a subscription lapses
The 5 paid-only modules and the full versions of the 5 lite modules deactivate. The 6 Free modules (including Code Snippets at full functionality) keep working. Settings are preserved — resubscribing restores everything.
Resubscribing after a lapse re-enters you at the then-current regular price. Founder-cohort launch-locked pricing is conditional on continuous subscription.
Frequently asked questions
Can I use my licence on a client’s site? Pro (3 sites) and Agency (10 sites) allow client-site installs within their site limit. Starter (1 site) is for one site only. Agency doesn’t extend to clients self-managing the plugin after delivery — they’d need their own tier.
Can I resell Asteris for WordPress licences? No. The licence is for your own use (or your agency’s client builds within your tier limit), not for resale or bundling into your own product offering.
Is the code available to modify? Yes. GPL-2.0+ permits modification. If you distribute modified versions, GPL terms apply.
Is there a separate Lifetime tier? No. The Founder cohort locks your launch price for the life of your subscription (as long as it stays continuously active). It is not a one-time “paid forever” lifetime SKU.
