The Founder 500 — subscribe during launch, lock the launch price for life
The first 500 launch subscribers to Asteris for WordPress are the Founder cohort. Same plugin everyone else gets. Locked-for-life launch pricing on top.
When the 500th subscriber lands, the cohort closes. New customers from #501 onwards pay regular pricing. Yours doesn’t change for as long as you stay subscribed.
There’s no separate “Founder SKU” — Founder identity just means you subscribed before the cap closed.
The offer in one paragraph
I’m Nick. I build Asteris for WordPress with a small team from Sydney. The launch-pricing-lock exists because we’d rather have 500 customers who genuinely use the plugin and stay subscribed than 5,000 who paid once and disappeared. Subscribe during the Founder window at $149/yr Starter (1 site), $349/yr Pro (3 sites), or $549/yr Agency (10 sites). Your price stays locked for as long as you keep the subscription active. When the 500 cap closes, new customers pay $199 / $449 / $749. You don’t.
What you actually get
- All 11 modules in one plugin — Security + 2FA, SEO + AI, Performance, Forms, SMTP + email logs, Activity Log + Site Health, Analytics + Pixels, Image Optimisation, Backups, Code Snippets, Accessibility scanner.
- Every future module shipped during your subscription — the roadmap is public. Founders see what’s coming and get every release at the locked price.
- Locked price for life of subscription — your launch price stays locked for as long as your subscription stays active. Cancel and resubscribe later, you re-enter at the current regular price.
- Priority support per tier — Starter 2-3 business days, Pro/Agency/Founder 1 business day. All in Sydney time (AEST/AEDT).
- Founder badge in the customer portal — recognises the first 500.
- Direct say on the v1.x roadmap — Founder feedback gets triaged ahead of general feedback.
- 14-day money-back guarantee — full refund inside 24 hours of request, no argument.
Who this is genuinely for
- WordPress site owners running 5+ paid plugins who are tired of the update-Tuesday roulette.
- Small teams and freelancers who want one bill, one vendor, one update path.
- Agencies managing 3-10 client sites who want one consolidated licence stack for $549/yr locked.
- Anyone who’d rather pay a small recurring fee at a locked price than play the “annual increase email” lottery every year across a dozen vendors.
Who this is NOT for
- Sites that need a plugin with five years of production history and 24/7 enterprise support — Asteris is in active development; bugs happen.
- “I want polished SaaS” buyers who don’t want to file bug reports or give feedback.
- Anyone who only needs one specific feature (just a security scanner, just an SEO plugin) — Asteris is consolidation, not a single-purpose tool.
- Multisite operators at v1.0 — Multisite support isn’t shipping in v1.0.
Compounding savings
If regular pricing stays at $199 / $449 / $749 for five years (it may rise further):
| Tier | Year-1 saving | Year-5 cumulative |
|---|---|---|
| Starter | $50 | $250 |
| Pro | $100 | $500 |
| Agency | $200 | $1,000 |
The longer you stay subscribed, the better your launch lock looks.
How buying works
- Pick a tier on the pricing page.
- Subscribe via Lemon Squeezy. Receipt + licence key arrive by email instantly.
- Install Asteris for WordPress (or upgrade from Asteris for WordPress Free if you’re already running it).
- Paste the licence key in Asteris → License in WP Admin.
Done. Your launch price is now locked for as long as the subscription stays active. The Founder badge appears in your customer portal as soon as activation completes.
When does the cap close?
When 500 subscribers have activated, full stop. We’re not setting a fixed end date — it closes on velocity, not calendar. Once it’s closed, there’s no waitlist and no exception process. The 500th subscriber is the last one in.
20 of the 500 slots are reserved for competition winners.
